Joint health

Why are so many people experiencing joint pain?

Is your doctor telling you it is just old age. Or it is genetic if parents or grandparents had the same issue?

Aches and pains and even arthritis does not have to happen. It is an inflammatory response. Your body is giving you signals that there is a problem.

Where does this problem stem from? You may be surprised to hear it is from you gut. What do I mean by that? You have been eating and being exposed to things that are causing damage, thus causing inflammation. If that inflammation becomes chronic it travels through body and can cause problems in areas which are weak.

If you have been eating a things like sugar, alcohol, foods high in pesticides and herbicides, and your body can’t handle the toxic load it will cause chronic inflammation. If you don’t have enough healthy gut bacteria, which is important to give us B vitamins, Vit K and helps keep our immune system strong. Our healthy gut bacteria helps us digest our food. If you are not digesting you are not absorbing , then you are not getting the nutrients your cells require. Even if you start to eat healthy, you may not be absorbing properly.

What should you do? You should avoid the foods that are processed. White sugar, white flour, actually all grains unless organic. Reduce alcohol and coffee. You should eat whole foods, like lots of fruits and veggies. If your joints are sore, add Omega 3 fish oil, but only a high quality to avoid mercury. Trying taking a product containing turmeric that uses fat for absorption.

You may have to avoid the night shade group of veggies such as potatoes, peppers, egg plant, tomatoes, goji berries, pimentoes, I also recommend people start a food journal, to log what they eat to see if they can recognize what may be an irritant.

Exercise is very important because it creates blood flow to the joints, which helps in healing.

I would eat as healthy as possible… but unfortunately you usually can’t get enough from our food. So I recommend a good quality multi vitamin. I would add a supplement with curcumin and glucosamine. The one I use and recommend is from USANA. It is rated pharmaceutical grade with no fillers.
