Glutathione induced cancer cells to die

Linda Murphy RHN

I had cancer at 39, but I am now 58 and feel better than I did in my 30’s.

I did have surgery for my cancer, but my recovery was done with changing my diet, and overdosing on nutrition.

My cancer diagnosis was a wake up call that changes needed to be done. After researching the different options, the only thing that made sense was to fill in the gaps of what could be missing in my diet and lifestyle options.

My thoughts were, if toxins create disease, why would we consider adding more toxins to help fight disease. So chemo and radiation were not going to be an option for me.

If that is the root you choose and believe in your heart that is the right choice for you, than of course, do that. Your mind is a powerful part of healing, you need to believe what you are doing will work.

Remember some keys things when looking at your health and advice from your medical professionals.

Disease is never a lack of medications. But it is a lack of nutrients or too many toxins or both. What if you are told that there is nothing you can do because it is genetic and runs in your family ? Genetics is a very small part. We often times pass down eating habits and lifestyle habits to our kids and their kids. I like the expression, genetics loads the gun, but lifestyle pulls the trigger.

There are story after story of people who heal from disease without meds. Medications create a cascade of other issues in the body. Often times these meds deplete important nutrients that actually are critical for the health of the organ that is affected. Some examples of these are Statins that are meant to lower cholesterol, will actually lower your Co enzyme Q10, which is a nutrient imperative for healthy heart function. Blood pressure meds can lower magnesium, which you guessed it, is important for the heart muscle. Anti depressants will lower your levels of essential B vitamins. Which are important to help with mood, because B’s are important for your adrenal glands, along with a plethora of other benefits.

You get the picture. Medication will create an imbalance in our bodies that usually lowers key nutrients important for the health of organs, which then creates a cascade of other issues. This is why it is so hard to get off these drugs, because it causes such serious imbalances. This is why it often will take someone educated in nutrition to help you build your body back up.

So how does glutathione play a factor in all of this? Well the important thing to know is that the health of our liver is key in preventing all disease. All diseases have been linked to deficiencies in the body. Disease has been linked to our bodies inability to detox faster than the toxins coming in. If we have more toxins coming in than the body can handle, it is overwhelmed and DNA damage will occur.

Numerous studies done on rats revealed that when cancer of the liver was induced using aflatoxins (mostly from molds), but than treated with glutathione, resulted in the shrinking of their tumors. They did this with oral cancer, stomach and ovarian cancers, and they all had developed fewer and smaller cancers. They also showed less nerve and kidney damage from the chemo and most importantly did not reduce the effectiveness of the treatment. Which the is the main thing doctors treating patients are concerned with.

Patients with endometrial cancer treated with radiation and glutathione had much less diarrhea.

A number of studies have linked low levels of glutathione with cataracts, macular degeneration, asthma, chronic, obstructive pulmonary disease, pulmonary fibrosis, pancreatitis, lupus erythematosis, rheumatoid arthritis, ulcerative, colitis, Type II diabetes, and myocardial infarction.

Studies have shown glutathione levels decrease with ageing,  and those with the lowest levels are more prone to arthritis, diabetes, high blood pressure or heart disease.

The key to health is to reduce the production of peroxides by Phase I enzymes, while enhancing the ability of Phase II enzymes-especially glutathione enzymes to neutralize peroxides.

If you have disease you need to stay away from coffee (I heard a groan), alcohol (no wine is not good for your heart), and most obvious, no tobacco. Staying away from processed foods, artificial sweeteners, food colourings, white sugar and white flour. Smoked luncheon meats with added nitrates and dried fruits with sulphites. Pickled foods with sulphites.

We should never use products on our hair or body that contain chemicals. That is why I love USANA, because it is my one stop shopping for all things, such as non toxic, shampoo, conditioners, hand lotions and body lotions.

We should not use harsh chemicals to clean our house. All of these commercials that show you to spray, wipe and deodorize your home with toxic chemicals, is turning us into germ fanatics. We need to be careful when cleaning our kitchen if cutting raw meat or shellfish etc. But simply using vinegar and essentials oils can do the trick. Even using boiling water or a steamer works well.

We should not use hand sanitizers which are all toxic to our liver. Using soap and water or a spray with safe collodial silver will do the trick.

If you wonder how all these environmental things get into our blood stream, it is because everything we put on our skin or breath in gets into our blood stream, and if our liver cannot break down the toxins and eliminate them from our body safely, if creates a sluggish liver.

Looking at the umbilical cords of hundreds of babies, they had found over 200 toxic chemicals in their cords. Proving what Mom was exposed to, was getting into the blood stream and ultimately getting into poor little baby.

Eat mostly organic or follow the clean 15 dirty dozen list of fruits and veggies to eat organic. Eat grass fed beef, and pasture run chickens and eggs. Don’t eat grains unless organic to avoid glyphosates (roundup). GMO foods such as corn, soy, cotton seed oil, canola oil, sugar beets. I am sure the list is getting longer all the while you are reading this.

It takes some homework to research and look on labels. Or you can hire a Holistic Nutritionist to help guide you and save you lots of time trying to figure it out.

Eat as healthy and clean as possible and then take a good quality nutritional supplement to fill in the gaps. I only recommend USANA for so many reasons. If you want to know how your supplement is rated reach out to me or get your hands on Nutrisearch comparative guide, which is a book written by Lyle McWilliams from health Canada. It is a third party research company that shows people how over 1600 different supplements are rated.

You wouldn’t just throw in any oil or gas into your car when you are told the car will not run properly without the proper fluids. We also know we need to take our car in for filter changes and oil changes for it to run properly. Why do we think our bodies are any different. I am often times shocked how people treat their bodies, and then they are shocked when they are diagnosed with disease.

Here are some nutritionals that I would never be without. I have taken them for over 10 years and actually feel better than I did over 20 years ago.
