You can use this recipe for any type of pasta dish. I used it to make seafood mac and cheese. I used frozen lobster meat and smoked wild salmon. Best dish ever. My son said is was restaurant worthy.
Remember when using any type of grains, make sure they are organic. Research is showing a connection between glyphosates sprayed on grains and digestive issues. Not necessarily the gluten.
Gluten free pasta noodles. Organic Brown rice pasta. Or I use organic Spelt noodles or Kamut ( can get these are any regular grocery store, usually in the organic section). They are not gluten free but ancient grains are often times easier to digest, plus if organic no pesticides.
5-7 cloves of garlic, minced
1 1/2 cup unsweetened non-dairy milk (rice, soy, coconut etc)
1 tbsp Nutritional yeast (found at any health food store or organic section of grocery store). It is a good source of B12 and has a great cheesy flavour
1 1/2 tbsp brown rice flour, or oat flour, organic spelt flour, almond flour.
3/4 tsp himalayan salt or sea salt
pinch of red chili flakes (optional)
Juice of 1/2 lemon
fresh basil or basil pesto (1 tsp)
1 tbsp mustard
when I made the seafood mac and cheese I poured the juice from the lobster meat in the sauce for extra flavour. Don’t be afraid to play around with ingredients for your own tastes. I always change up recipes.
Add spaghetti sauce and make your own marinara sauce. Add veggies. Turkey meatballs. etc.
Make cooking fun !!!!
